Joel Haskell Blancett, 82, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Friday, April 27, 2018 at Gila Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 23, 1935 in El Paso, TX to Fred Blancett and Bessie Powell.

He is survived by his wife, Daphne Blancett of the family home; one son, Joe Blancett and wife Liz of Silver City; two grandchildren, Matthew Blancett and wife Haley of Silver City; Lauren Sanchez of Bayard; two great-grandchildren, Iggy Blancett-Salvator and Ashton Blancett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Cynthia Blancett (2016) seven brothers, Bill Blancett, Vernon Evans, VH, Kenneth, Jack, Fred, and Bobby Blancett; one sister, Emma Hood.

No service will be held at family's request. Cremation has taken place at Terrazas Crematory.
