brent moore 1 rsbrent moore 2 rsBrent Allen Moore entered eternal life on Tuesday May 8, 2018, peacefully in his home at the age of 56.

Brent was born on April 6, 1962 in Deming, New Mexico. He was the beloved son of Lela Sue Gibson and Samuel T. Moore, who was surveyor for the New Mexico State Highway Department.

As a boy, Brent enjoyed life in Deming with his family and brother Shad, traveling throughout the Southwest camping, hiking and exploring.

Brent attended school in Deming through first grade, when he next enrolled in school in Monterrey Park, California where his love of baseball developed. He excelled in baseball and was First Baseman of the championship Team in 1974. Brent moved back to Deming in the seventh grade, where he enrolled in Deming Junior High School and played on the Sunshine Baseball Team, which won every game that season, taking the Championship. Brent's love of baseball continued throughout his lifetime. He played Men's Ball, coached Little League and other levels.

Brent, from childhood, was a strong supporter of the Dodgers and later Arizona Diamondbacks. As a young man, he nurtured a professional level of skill in bowling and declined an offer to go professional. His love of sports showcased his fondness for the Dallas Cowboys.

A lifetime avid reader, Brent loved history, math, and the Southwest. A 1980 graduate of Deming High School, Brent remained a steadfast Wildcat fan.

After High School, Brent worked for Phelps Dodge in Playas, New Mexico for several years before moving to Morenci, Arizona where he continued working for Phelps Dodge until his retirement in 2015, with 33 years' experience.

Brent is survived by his father, Samuel T. Moore, step-mother Harvilee Moore, brother Christopher Northrop, step-father Paul Northrop, daughter Yvette Ruiz, son Scot Moore Reyes (Kristen), five grandchildren: Robert Pacheco, Carlos Pacheco, Aliyah Ruiz, Julian Reyes, Aaron Reyes, and his Lifemate, Annette Fry. Brent is also survived by his niece Megan Guaderrama (Erik) and nephew Zach Moore (Vanessa) and four great nephews.

Brent was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Shad Moore and his mother, Lela Gibson.

Brent was a loving, giving, caring, happy, wonderful man, who loved life outdoors, gardening and people. To know him, was to know that he believed all life matters, and it is the obligation of all to protect and preserve the earth for future generations.

Brent's parents, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and Lifemate will deeply miss him and treasure forever their time with him.

The pallbearers will be Zach Moore, Robert Pacheco, Carlos Pacheco, Christopher Northrop, Orlando Gonzales, and Robert Caldwell. The honorary bearers are Paul Northrop and Gary Zumwalt.

The visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday May 13, 2018 at Baca's Funeral Chapels, 811 S. Gold Deming, NM 88030. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday May 14, 2018 at Baca's Funeral Chapels with Pastor Paul Reyes officiating. Graveside services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. On behalf of Brent, his family wish to thank Dr. Basel M. Aswad of Deming, New Mexico.
