melvin hudson rsMelvin Wayne Hudson, 72, passed away on May 17, 2018, in his home at Separ, N.M. He was born August 26, 1945, in Socorro, N.M. to Leldon Hudson and Opal Carter Hudson. He served two years (December 1965-Octotober 1967) in the Army where he was stationed in Alaska. Melvin was a rancher by heart, but a well driller for 40+ years.

Melvin was married to his wife, Mary (Lee) Hudson. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary in November.  Melvin is survived by two children, son Wes Hudson and Lori, of Deming, NM, and daughter Amber Kuriakose and husband Robin, of Richmond, TX. He is also survived by grandchildren, Karlie Hudson, Roam Kuriakose, and Orin Kuriakose. Melvin is also survived by two brothers, Marvin Magee, and wife Shani of Las Cruces, NM, and David Hudson and wife Christine of Taos, NM.

Melvin was preceded in death by his mother and father Leldon and Opal Hudson, his sister Barbara Warnock, and grandson Trace Hudson.

A celebration of life will be celebrated Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Mimbres Round-up Lodge. There will also be a small service on July 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, Adams Diggings (Pie Town, NM).
