She was born in New York City on November 28, 1937, and lived in New York and New Jersey until she and her husband retired and moved to Silver City, NM, in 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nora Ryan, and her sister, Claire Doyle. She is survived by her husband Peter Falley and her sister Gail Brady. She went to St. Simon Stock high school in the Bronx and attended Fordham University. She married Peter Falley in 1959 and moved with him to Rockaway, New Jersey in 1968. She worked for a number of years in the insurance and financial industry in New York, helping to put her husband through graduate school.

In New Jersey she worked with Opera at Florham, an opera company in residence at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ, and she established a business as a corporate art consultant. Through her husband’s work as a mathematics professor at the University, she befriended and mentored many students and was often referred to as Math Mom.

After moving to Silver City, she became active in the Grant County Community Concert Association, joining the board in 2004 and serving as vice president from 2009 until 2017. A remembrance celebration will be held at a date to be announced.
