Norene E. Henderson Beaty, 86, a resident of Glenwood, NM entered peaceful sleep Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Ft. Bayard Medical Center in Santa Clara, NM. She was born January 20, 1932 in Arrey, NM to Eugene M. Henderson and Jewell A. McGuffin. She graduated from Hot Springs High in 1950. She was a homemaker that created wonderful crochet, needle work and wood art. Her husband, of 53 years, was a truck driver, so she traveled many miles as his companion and partner driver. She and her family lived in T or C until 1969 when they moved to Wills Point, Tx. She lived in Wills Point for many years, after her husband’s death she moved to Glenwood, NM to be nearer her family. She was a quiet country girl at heart and loved New Mexico.

She is survived by one son, Alan Beaty (Sharon) of Glenwood, NM: one daughter, Connie Gattie (Jack) of Springfield, OR, daughter-in-law Pam Beaty of Edgewood, TX, 8 grandchildren, Travis A. Beaty (Brooke) of Roswell, NM, Michael S. Washam (Charla) of Las Cruces, NM, Jamie Gattie and James Gattie of Springfield, OR., Robby Beaty, Michelle Campbell, Tasha Cadenhead, Brandon Beaty, all of Texas. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James T Beaty; one son, James H. Beaty; and one sister, Margaret West. A Celebration of Life will be held, at a later date, in Dusty, NM., where she will lay to rest with the rest of her family, in the town her father named.
