warhank 02Larry Lee Warhank, 70, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Franklin Heights Nursing Home in El Paso, TX. He was born August 25, 1948 in Haver, Montana to Carl Warhank and Margaret Haman. After meeting Irma Gonzales in Silver City, they moved to Torrance, CA and were married. While in California he owned a Aracade Company. He enjoyed driving all over southern California delivering them. They moved back to Silver City, NM in 1988 where he worked at the Grant County Road Department. Larry was strong in his Catholic faith and enjoyed being an usher at St. Francis Newman Center for many years. He loved watching Notre Dame football. He always had a green thumb and liked taking care of his fruit trees. Larry could talk for hours and loved to have conversations everywhere he went. He enjoyed getting together with the big family whenever he could.

He is survived by his loving wife Irma G. Warhank of the family home; one son, Karl Warhank and wife Brandi of Bayard; one daughter, Karol Warhank of Silver City; two grandchildren, Ty Warhank and wife Andrea Carbajal and DeLaney Warhank; one great granddaughter, Adriel Carbajal; four brothers, Michael Warhank of Everett, WA; John Warhank and wife Sharon of Lomita, CA; Josef Warhank and wife Mary of Helena, Montana; Rodney Warhank and wife Rose of Des Moines, Iowa; four sisters, Angie Vahle and husband Bill of Dallas, TX; :Moncia McCormick and husband Jim of Coonsville, Iowa; Darla Warhank of Tucson, AZ; Joyce Warhank and wife Sylvia of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Frank Warhank; three sisters, Cecilia Laster, Rita Puentes, and Sister Carol Marie. Visitation will be Monday, December 10 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary being recited by Carmen Terrazas to follow at 6pm. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Newman Center with Father Bartholomew officiating. Concluding service and interment will follow at St. Vincent Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ty Warhank, Frank Silva, Dominic Romero, Vincent Mendez, Anthony Martinez, and Lonnie Nolan.
