Kuykendall

Winnie Louise Kuykendall, 103, a longtime resident of Lordsburg passed away Saturday September 22, 2012 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City.

Funeral services will be Thursday September 27th at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the Lordsburg Church of Christ with Ed "Bim" Kerr, pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Winnie was born February 4, 1909 and has been a resident of Lordsburg since 1941. She worked for the Lordsburg Public Schools Cafeteria for 20 years and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Pythian Sisters, and the Lordsburg Church of Christ. She and her husband Marshall were recently honored by the Worldwide Marriage Encounter for being the longest married couple in the United States with a happy 83 years together.
 
She is survived by her husband, Marshall Kuykendall of Lordsburg; daughter, Marilyn Miller and her husband Ralph of Canyon, TX; brothers, Kenneth L. Macnab of Phoenix, AZ, Douglas Macnab of Glen Robertson, Ontario, Canada; sister, Sherrie Brown of Sierra Vista, AZ; 2 grandchildren, Teri Miller and Jon Miller and his wife Cheryl. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Alister, Alex, Doc, and Winston Macnab and by 2 sisters, Rosario “Mac” Hammond and Virginia “Ginger” Hoffpauir.
