MahlAAlexander Wolfgang Mahl 27, (5/16/1996-6/10, 2023)was a kind sensitive soul, that would do anything for his friends. The stories of his rescues are too numerous to mention. He loved his 1972 red Chevy truck, and his Suzuki Samurai for playing in the sand at Elephant Butte Lake and exploring the Gila National Forest. He was an avid camper and backpacker, especially when it snowed. He was a very good guitar player, and absolutely adored his dogs. He could fix almost anything, except himself. Sadly however, after a long battle with depression and addiction, he took his life. We miss you my friend, my son. A memorial of his life will be had in the next few months, we will do our best to contact family and friends, please don't be afraid to reach out.

He is survived by his parents John and Jennifer Mahl, his brother Daniel Mahl, his grandparents John and Cydnia Mahl, Great-grandmother Shirley Easley, grandparents Paul and Linda Boucher, his aunt and uncle Shawna and Kenny White, his aunt and uncle Tina and Jay Mealer, uncle Philip Payette, cousins Conner Payette, Emory White and Aspen and Escher Mealer. And specifically, his two friends (who are like sons to me, we love you guys!) that "stuck closer than a brother, Anthony "Pelle" Pellegrino and Jorge Rodriguez.  He is preceded in death by his brother Michael Mahl and grandmother Mary Boucher. If you or anyone you know are struggling with depression and/or addiction, please, please get help.
