TrujilloNNadina A. Trujillo died February 22, 2022 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, New Mexico after a prolonged illness due to metastatic ovarian cancer.

She was born May 12, 1954 in Silver City to Elisaida Apodaca and Felix Trujillo.

She was preceded in death by her mother November 28, 2006 and her father May 9, 2007. She was survived by her sister, Natalia A. Trujillo who has since died in Las Cruces, New Mexico on August 15, 2023 and by her adopted son, Bjorn formerly known as Steve Miller. Her entire formal education was in Silver City where she graduated from Silver High School and earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from Western New Mexico University. As a dedicated math and science teacher, she spent most of her career at her alma mater, Silver High, after a short period in the Albuquerque School System. She was especially known for her trips to the Gulf of California with family and students. She was dedicated to her family as she and her sister Natalia cared for their parents until their respective deaths at the family home on Ohio Street. The sisters shared the family home until Nadina’s death.

TrujilloN2A Memorial Service will take place for both Nadina and Natalia at twelve-thirty, noon on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Silver City, New Mexico. Concluding Services and Inturnment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Silver City where they will be laid to rest with their beloved parents. Reverend Danny Castillo is officiating.
