TrujilloNANatalia A. Trujillo died Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born September 5, 1947 in Hot Springs, New Mexico to Elisaida Apodaca and Felix Trujillo.

She was preceded in death by her mother November 28, 2006 and her father May 9, 2007. Her beloved sister, Nadina A. Trujillo died February 22, 2022. Natalia resided in Grant County the majority of her life. Her early formal education was at St. Mary’s Academy. She graduated from Silver High School then earned a degree in Education from Western New Mexico University. The majority of her career as a kindergarten and first grade teacher was spent at 6th Street Elementary in Silver City, New Mexico preceded by a period in the Santa Fe System. She loved her students, was dedicated to their education and wellbeing and they, in turn, reciprocated when she encountered them during her retirement years. Her sister Nadina, also a graduate of Silver High School and Western New Mexico University was a science and math teacher at her alma mater, Silver High School. Both sisters were dedicated to their parents and cared for them in the family home until their passing. Natalia and Nadina also had a great love for animals.

TrujilloNA2A Memorial Service will take place for Natalia and Nadina at twelve-thirty, noon on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Silver City, New Mexico. Concluding Services and Inturnment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Silver City where they will be laid to rest with their beloved parents. Reverend Danny Castillo is officiating.
