Kenneth Bookout, 90, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed peacefully in his sleep on the morning of October 18, 2023.  He was born in Tularosa in 1933 to his parents Fred and Lola (Evans) Bookout. 

Kenneth served in the US Army and was Honorably discharged on 4/10/1952.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from WNMU in Social Science.  He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and retired from Kennecott.  In life, he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. 

He is survived by his lovely wife, Ola (Dozier) Bookout of Bayard, NM; his three daughters, Sheryl Wynn (David) of Wickenburg, AZ, Shirley Knight of Tucson, AZ, Beverly Bookout of Boulder, CO; his eight grandchildren, Kenneth Visconti (Alexis), Kristy Visconti (Kory Watson), Keisha Priddy (Shannon), Tanya Henson (Matt), Scott Wynn (Marla), Chaz Knight (Sam), Cameron Knight (Shelby), Luke Wynn; his seven great-grandchildren, Amelia & Abigail Visconti, Breanna, Dominick, Makaylah Priddy, Preston, Brody Henson.  He was preceding in death by his parents. 

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
