Darrell B. Mackey, 63, of Deming, New Mexico passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023 with his wife Mary by his side. He was born May 16, 1960 in Centre, Alabama to John Mackey and Edith Pritchett.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary; his two children Charles B. Mackey and Amber N. Mackey and his four grandchildren Noah Estrada, Alexis Estrada, Uriah Mackey, Aleynah Mackey. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents John and Edith Mackey and his sister Shelia Blackstock.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Bacas Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Chuck Workman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Deming/Luna County Humane Society in honor of Darrell. He loved animals and could not say no to a rescued pet.
