James M. Brooke 88 years old of Tyrone, New Mexico passed away at home on December 27, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Silver City.

He is survived by his wife Lou of 66 years; his sons Tom and wife Sharon of Albuquerque, NM and Craig of Los Osos, California; grandchildren Zachary Brooke, Lisa Reichert, Jennifer Boyden, Scott and Luis Barraza; and nine great-grandchildren.

He retired from Zork Hardware after working there for 22 years. His hobbies included birding, RV’ing, and traveling to Mexico. He enjoyed visiting with anyone with whom he came into contact. He has been a member of The Church of The Good Shepherd for 65 years.
