Roberta Ross Reed, a resident of Deming, NM, went home to her Lord, March 29, 2013.

Roberta was born September 23, 1917 in Ligonier, Pennsylvania to Robert and Nevada Snodgrass Ross. She moved to Deming from Irwin, Pennsylvania. She was a retired elementary school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, and 4 sisters. She is survived by a sister, Virginia Ray, Pittsburgh, daughters, Harriet Reed, Las Cruces, NM, Janet Barney, Deming, Barbara Reed, Nairobi, Kenya and son, Andrew (Connie) Reed of Las Cruces. Also surviving her are 4 grandchildren, Sarah (Kyle) Handy, Plano, TX, Jon (Jessica) Scott, Loveland, CO, Jon Reed, Socorro, NM and Andrew Reed, Las Cruces, NM and 2 great-granddaughters, Piper Scott and Evelyn Handy. In addition she is survived by Jackie Maina, Las Cruces and Shelmith Maina, Kansas City, KS for whom she was a surrogate grandma.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 206 W. Pine St. at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 6, 2013. In lieu of flowers please donate to a favorite charity of choice or to Literacy and Evangelism, International, 1800 S. Jackson Ave., Tulsa, OK 74107.
