...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of south central New Mexico, including much of the Gila Region, the Black Range, most of Sierra, Dona Ana, and Luna Counties.

* Through 3 AM MDT Thursday morning.

* Numerous showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall rates may lead to flash flooding, particularly in areas of steep terrain.

* Flooding may lead to road closures and may affect structures in low lying areas. Creeks and arroyos are likely to become
inundated at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding can be a VERY DANGEROUS
SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
