7000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Expect damage to trees and power lines as well. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches below 7000 ft and 5-9 inches above 7000 ft.
Localized amounts up to 12 inches are possible above 9000 ft.  Strong winds will cause blowing snow and near whiteout  conditions at times.

* WHERE...The Gila region and Black Range area of southwest NewMexico, including elevations above 7000 ft.

* WHEN...3 PM this afternoon to 6 PM Wednesday. The heaviest snowfall rates will occur between 6 PM this evening and noon Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Periods of heavy snow and strong winds will
cause significant reductions in visibility at times. Travel may
become quite difficult to impossible.
