Albuquerque – Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham remains silent as President Biden's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to raid New Mexico's energy industry. The EPA has announced it may soon deem parts of the Permian Basin, the biggest U.S. shale oil basin, in "non-attainment" with ozone standards. In response, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is fighting back to protect his state, noting the action would further raise gas prices and impact workers in the energy industry. Meanwhile, Lujan Grisham is nowhere to be found.

"Governor Lujan Grisham's silence in this critical issue can only mean one thing: her priority is politics and not people," said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future.
