Sometimes we all sit there and wonder why. It can range from questions such as why is the sky blue or why is the weather changing or why is my favorite restaurant not open anymore? Or it can be a little bit more philosophically deep exploring the mysteries of the human psyche. Especially when it comes to liberals or progressives or whatever they want to be called these days. It's particularly interesting when it comes to the hypocrisy of their words that are so often contradicted by their actions or selective outrage.

Many progressives are the first to stand up and complain about big money and corporate influence in politics. Yet when they are shown that many of these big corporations support Democrat candidates, they don't seem to have a problem with that. Even worse, when there is demonstrable evidence that indicates some of their favorite politicians are in bed with big corporations lining the pockets of the politicians or their families, these so called champions of the little guy are strangely quiet. When they do break their silence, it is often to attack the people that have brought the evidence to light or are rightly outraged by the behavior.

Similarly, they want to stand for the rights of certain demographic groups. As we saw with the recent Supreme Court Justice confirmation hearings, the progressives are vocal proponents for the rights of victims of sexual harassment or sexual assault. Yet they are strangely quiet when their favorite candidate for president is shown to be something of a pervert. The evidence of his strange behavior is right there for everyone to see and is much more concrete than anything the Democrats could produce against Amy Coney Barrett or Brett Kavanaugh. But the most common response is to point the finger at a conservative or to say something idiotic such as "that's just Joe being Uncle Joe."

We are often told that it is a woman's right to choose because it is her body her choice. Yet when you suggest that other states could follow the example of Nevada by legalizing prostitution, these very same people are adamantly against the idea. But isn't it a woman's body and her choice in that situation as well? Neither is it her choice if she decides she does not want to get a vaccine against a virus because she has chosen to educate herself on the possible side effects of taking a vaccine, making a decision that it is not right for her or her family.

Many of these same people are proponents for the most radical environmental policies that would not only destroy our economy but could very well take us back to the dark ages in some ways, blaming mankind for the changing climate. They were quick to point out that the pollution cloud that hangs over many large cities dissipated when the quarantines were implemented. So why not allow people to go out catch the virus and die in the numbers you claim would happen? Wouldn't that be good for the Earth? Getting rid of a significant portion of our population. Besides it's the Neanderthals that won't wear a mask or complain about wearing a mask that would die first, right?

Liberals are the first to support a group's right to protest, ignoring the violence that often accompanies some of these protests or justifying it with some inane excuse. Yet when someone wants to peacefully protest a cause the liberals support, that group is often denied the right to gather and express their opinions. We have seen that right here in our hometown on at least two occasions.

To be certain, I am not saying that conservatives or independents cannot be hypocritical. It's just in my experience as an astute observer of social and political happenings, that the liberals are consistent in one thing: their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
