Let them drive EVs is the new 'let them eat cake.' The preferred governmental solution to rising oil prices is to have us all run out and buy a Tesla. Like we can afford to take on at least $50,000 in additional debt. I'm sure some of the political elite and their support groups really believe we can run right down and buy a Tesla without any problem. But most know that we can't, and they don't give a rat's patootie. Because of course there is a more important goal for them, and you can bet it has absolutely nothing to do with saving the planet.

Joe Biden and his minions know that Tesla gets most of its aluminum from the 'Trump puppeteers' in Russia. In fact, Elon Must buys most of the aluminum used to make his cars from Rusal, a Russian company that is not currently subject to Biden's sanctions. But the company was once sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department for improper business practices.

Similarly, lithium, nickel, and other rare metals used to make the batteries are controlled by China and Russia. For the first time in history, the cost of a lithium-ion battery will see a year over year increase in price. Much of that is due to concerns about the supply of nickel from Russian sources and lithium from Afghanistan, now the world's holder of the largest lithium deposits. Of course, China controls that supply as well. I'm not sure why nickel prices have reached an 11-year high on fear of supply disruption: don't they know that Joe Biden won't place sanctions on those companies either?

Industry analysts say the potential for increasing costs or supply chain disruptions will delay the eventual price parity of EVs and fossil-fueled vehicles. That along with reliability and increased battery life will eventually draw the consumer to the product. Joe's bosses can't wait for that to happen. They told us, through Barrack Hussein Obama, that they would need to significantly increase the price of gas to force the average Joe into an EV. We are seeing it happen right now.

A bonus side effect of pushing all into EVs is the existence of the kill switch. While the Feds have proposed a regulation that would require kill switches in all vehicles by 2024, most EVs already have that feature. Joe has asked Musk to kill all Telsas currently operating in Russia. If Joe will ask the big tech companies to silence opposition voices, what makes you think he won't shut down your EV if you don't comply with some arbitrary mandate?

Once they get us all into EVs, using digital currency, and tattling on each other, we've lost all of our freedoms.
