Robert Pack, a Junior at WNMU, and graduate of Cliff High School, was recently selected as National Child Awareness Month Youth Ambassador. Fifty-one distinguished youth are selected, one from each state and the District of Columbia for this annual honor. They will serve one year as a national youth ambassador for Youth Services America. Ambassadors, ages 16-22, are selected based on community service initiatives they propose and their past leadership and service record. They will form a national network of young people who raise their collective voice in service to other youth and complete service initiatives in their communities.

Robert Pack will represent New Mexico in all-expense paid leadership training on Capitol Hill, Washington D.C., in September. He will receive a $1000 grant from Festival of Children Foundation in support of the development of a youth-focused service initiative. His service initiative will involve promoting reading literacy to youth through various youth led mentoring programs and create tutorial resource directory for Grant County for parents, teachers and students to be able to connect depending on their needs. Work will also involve participation in Global Youth Service Day (April 17-19, 2015.) Robert's service initiative has been sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Silver City. Last, year Serina Pack, Robert's sister served as New Mexico's National Ambassador.

Robert Pack serves as Secretary of WNMU CKI and is following studies to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a minor in Business Administration. His long term goal is to work in research, habitat, and well-being of large cats such as lions, tigers and panthers. Robert Pack, of Silver City, is an Eagle Scout and at Cliff High School was a member of Business Professionals of America and served as a 4-H Council officer, club officer, was involved with riffle and archery competition .

Robert Pack recently also was selected to attend and participated in CKI Leadership Academy held near Indianapolis, Indiana, for approximately 60 college CKI students from around the world. Leadership Academy is a six day leadership training seminar designed to teach students to envision, enlist, embody, empower, evaluate, and encourage, based on the E6 Framework.
