Preceptor Tau Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi is pleased to announce Arlene Sarkela as their 2020 Valentine Sweetheart. Arlene has been a member of Beta Sigma Phi since 1987 and has held several offices. She has the Torch Bearer degree, which is the final degree for Chapter members.

Arlene is a valued member of Preceptor Tau. She is always behind the scenes of activities helping with her expertise and knowledge. She is our resident artist/seamstress and provided instruction for our “Paint Party Fundraiser” last fall. She has also volunteered to provide instruction for our Spring Paint Party fundraiser which will be held later this spring. Arlene is a member of the Grant County Art Guild.

She is married to Rick Sarkela and they have 2 grown children. They also have 2 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Arlene and her husband spend their retirement time between Silver City, Arizona and Michigan. They also travel extensively.

Arlene is a valued asset to our chapter. We are pleased to bestow the honor of 2020 Valentine Sweetheart to her.
