Thanks to the generous support of the Grant County community through their purchase of New Mexican-grown pecans, three graduates of county high schools will each receive a $1500 scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year from the Chapter AG, P.E.O. Foundation Scholarship account. This annual pecan fundraiser, conducted each fall, has been a chapter project for over 45 years.

This year's local scholarship recipients are :

Jamie Jenkins, a 2019 graduate of Cliff High School who will attend Eastern New Mexico University where she plans to major in Business;
Alexa Vermillion, a 2020 graduate of Silver High School who plans to enroll at New Mexico State University, majoring in Animal Science; and
Kayla Manning, Cliff High School 2020 who will attend Western New Mexico University and major in Business.

gabriela okeefeGabriela O'KeefeChapter AG additionally has sponsored Gabriela O'Keefe, Silver High School 2017, the successful recipient of a $2600 New Mexico State P.E.O. Scholarship. She will be a senior at the University of New Mexico, majoring in Communications in Critical Studies in Mass Media.

Another beneficiary is Britney Lovato, awarded the chapter's Rhoades/Sechler Scholarship of $750. Britney is a junior at Western New Mexico University majoring in Elementary Education.

Co-sponsored with Chapter BR, the Nancy Champlin P.E.O. Foundation Scholarship of $1000 completes Chapter AG's scholarship endeavors. This year's recipient will be named in the immediate future.
