As is the tradition, the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd held a Blessing of the Animals on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Sunday, October 4, 2020. About 50 dogs received a blessing in person, along with many cats by phone picture. It was also the first Sunday service for the The Rev. Bonnie E. Edwards as the new rector (head pastor) at the 147-year-old Silver City church.
