Keirston Bloomfield is graduating this year, class of 2021. She just turned 17. She is graduating a year early from Silver High School. She has also managed to earn her Associates Degree in Applied Liberal Arts and Sciences from Western New Mexico University. She is graduating with a 3.7 GPA with Honors as "Cum Laude' (with Praise).

Keirston has 4 little brothers that she spends a lot of time tending to. She is a huge help and contributor to our family. She has always excelled in school. She LOVES to read, and SING, and play her ukulele. She also spends time volunteering for different clubs, Lone Mountain 4-H Club, National Society of High School Scholars, and as youth leader for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She excels at everything she does. She has a laugh that is contagious. If she sees someone hurt or in need she can't help but try to make it all better. Which is amazing and a perfect fit for her plans to become a nurse. She is going to try to apply to the Nursing Program at WNMU in the Spring. She can accomplish anything that life throws at her.

She wants to be a flight nurse and work in the ER as a trauma nurse. She has a desire to get in on the "action," and help those most in need and in emergency situations. She also wants to go on a humanitarian mission overseas and teach English to children. She is also planning to go on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.

Her parents Brad and Crystal Bloomfield are so proud of her and the young woman that she is. She works hard and deserves the world. Everything has not been easy for her, her biological mother has lived a rough life, of drug abuse, incarceration and all around difficult trials. Even with all of this on her shoulders, Keirston is still able to have a love for her mother and carry herself forward with grit and grace and be loving and forgiving.

The Silver High School Principal Shane Coker wrote a letter of recommendation for Keirston. It says in part: "When the school year began, Keirston was listed as a junior. Her perseverance and determination to graduate a year early has paid off. ... I believe this is a first for Silver High School to have a junior graduate early from high school with a college degree." He also commended her as "an extremely hard worker, relentless at completing tasks and has the uncanny ability to remain focused on her personal goals. She is a self-starter who has great self-motivation to any challenge set before her."
