Foundation Scholarship account. This annual fall pecan fundraiser has been a successful chapter project for around 50 years, enabling scores of young women to realize their educational goals.

This year’s local scholarship recipients are:

Marcela Johnson, 2021 Silver High School valedictorian, who has been active in band, Girl Scouts, National History Day, Science Olympiad, and the Cyber Patriot program. She will attend the University of New Mexico where she plans to pursue a law degree following completion of her bachelor’s degree.

Kurstyn Johnson, 2021 Cliff High School graduate, has been a valued member and officer of FFA and 4-H while completing 43 hours at Western New Mexico University toward an Associate Degree in Welding Technology.  Upon completion of that degree, Johnson will undertake an 18-month mission for her church before pursuing a major in Business.
