Rudick Spirit of Christmas Award. Kris Lowry recently reopened her gift shop in the historic J.C. Penny building at 405 N. Bullard Street in downtown Silver City.

“We are grateful that Kris decided to relocate and not leave downtown, states Evangeline Zamora, board president of Silver City MainStreet. Kris has a great gift shop and she always decorates her windows beautifully for the Holiday season. Kris’s Unique Boutique is ready for holiday shoppers, so come down and check out her wonderful windows.”

The Ward A. Rudick Spirit of Christmas Award was established in 2018 after the Silver City MainStreet Board was so impressed with all the work Ward Rudick did that year, and continues to do, to make downtown festive for the holidays. Rudick was the first awardee.

“Downtown is looking festive with many decorations from College Street to San Vicente and Broadway and the Yankie/Texas art district too. Merchants have decorated their windows making for a safe family outing. Drive around after 7 pm when all of the lights are on and check out all of the decorations. You can walk around the area in the daytime too to see all of the merchant windows. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing when walking around downtown.”

The mission of Silver City MainStreet is "To encourage a vibrant, historic downtown Silver City that is recognized as the heart of our diverse community." Please visit our website, www.silvercitymainstreet.com to learn more.
