January 18, 2022

Dear Silver Consolidated Employee,
Happy 2022 to you! I send my best wishes that you remain safe and well. As a quick refresher, my name is Dr. Gayle Juneau-Butler and I am a Director and Leader Coach for Studer Education. In this role, I want to remind you that I will be working with you and the Silver Consolidated Schools community to develop the 2022 - 2027 strategic plan. As your leader coach, I want you to know that I strongly believe in working with laser focus on specific outcomes that will help us to plan and execute success strategies with fidelity. In such, I intend to interview as many individuals as possible to understand the ways that Silver has served, is serving, and will continue to serve your community. More specifically, I want to provide important information about the framework and timeline that I will utilize on our collaborative journey of continuous improvement.

In early October 2021, I connected with Superintendent Hawkins to initiate our partnership. As a framework for the next 6 months of our work together, there are 3 phases of work. They are:

1. Engage in an environmental scan, data collection, and planning for the 2027 – 2027 Silver Consolidated Schools Plan.
2. Interview various stakeholder groups for establishing pillars and goals as well as mission, vision, and values of the 2022 – 2027 Silver Consolidated Schools Plan.
3. Review, edit, gain approval, and communicate the Finalized 2022 – 2027 Silver Consolidated Strategic Plan to the internal and external communities.

In your role as an employee of the Silver Schools community, I am hoping that you will be willing to serve in the integral, participatory role of leader contributor in the creation of the strategic plan. I recognize that my request is a heavy lift amid the realities and complexities of COVID-19. Please know that I will be respectful of your time. Equally important, please know that your expertise is critical in establishing the foundational and directional goals of the Silver Consolidated community for the next 5 years.

If you have not participated in a strategic planning session yet, I will be conducting a second round of VIRTUAL sessions for Silver Schools' employees on 2.17.22. If you would like to participate in this round of contributions to future goals for your district, please review the time options, and REGISTER HERE for the session that works with your schedule:

If you cannot make any of these day/time combinations work for you, I will be offering more sessions on 2.23.22 and 2.24.22. Please stay tuned for details about these sessions as plans evolve over the next couple of weeks. All discovery sessions are facilitated in group fashion. Additionally, the time required is approximately 30 minutes. I am eager to work with you as we move into strategic action related to organizational excellence. If you have questions about this project, please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience. I can be reached at: gjuneaubutler@hcg.com or (312)-833-5004. We have a lot of work to accomplish, but I am honored to serve as a coach who will be leading the work on behalf of you and Silver Consolidated Schools! Thank you for your willingness to collaborate.
Sincerely,
Dr. Gayle Juneau-Butler, Director & Leader Coach, Studer Education
William D. Hawkins
