The 2022 Nancy Champlin P.E.O. Foundation Scholarship ($1500) has been awarded to recent Cliff High School graduate, Samantha Jones, daughter of Steve and Jolene Jones. On the A-Honor Roll at her high school, Samantha also graduated with honors this May with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice at Western New Mexico University where she has been dually enrolled the past four years. In addition to academics, she has excelled in the areas of extracurricular activities, community service, and especially in the area of leadership responsibilities. Planning to attend WNMU in the fall, Samantha will complete a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.

Funds for this local endowed scholarship were raised primarily by Silver City P.E.O. Chapters AG and BR via popular purse auctions held annually to honor then-resident Nancy Champlin's serving as State P.E.O. President in 2013. First awarded in 2015, the scholarship has now assisted nine young Grant County women to further their educational dreams. Visit peointernational.com
