Title: Fleet Maintenance Manager
Salary Range 41: Min $41,887 Mid $52,359 Max $62,830
Reports to: Road Department Superintendent
FLSA: At-Will / Exempt / Not eligible for Overtime Compensation / Exempt from Bargaining Unit

Job Summary:

Under general direction of the Road Superintendent or his designee, plans, organizes and manages the operations and staff of the Fleet Division. Fleet Maintenance Manager prepares and manages the annual budget for maintenance and replacement of county vehicles and equipment, designs and manages the preventive maintenance program, establishes the replacement schedule for vehicles and equipment, and manages fuel availability. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Industrial, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering OR equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
· Five (5) years of experience in fleet operations.
· Four (4) years in a supervisory capacity across all years of job related experience.
· Successful completion of the pre-employment medical exam and passing a drug and alcohol test.
· Must possess a valid New Mexico Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:
· Automotive Service of excellent certification.
· Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
· Emergency operation response.
· CDL-B driver’s license.

Health insurance – Health Insurance coverage shall be made available to regular full-time employees. Enrollment for the insurance must be made within thirty (30) days of employment. Insurance coverage shall become effective the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment.

Retirement – All full-time employees are required to participate in the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA). That means that both you and Grant County contribute a certain percentage (you from your salary, employer from its funds) towards your retirement.
Paid Holidays – Regular full-time employees are eligible for the twelve (12) holidays designated by the County Commission. In addition, all regular full-time and part-time employees are entitled to one (1) Personal Day per year.
Vacation – Regular, full-time employees are entitled to vacation time after six (6) months of continuous employment. Employees accrue vacation at the rate of five (5) hours per pay period for each two (2) weeks of service, based on twenty-six (26) pay period per calendar year.
Sick Leave – Regular, full-time employees are entitled to sick leave as the employee accrues. Employees accrues sick leave at the rate of four (4) hours per pay period for each two (2) weeks of service, based on twenty-six (26) pay period per calendar year.
