DESCRIPTION:The Delbert Anderson Trio comes to Light Hall for a livestream event.\nDelb
 ert Anderson, member of the Navajo tribe, is a professional trumpet perform
 er, pedagogue, and jazz musician. Born in Shiprock, NM, Anderson discovered
  his interest in music playing drums and singing for the church.  Anderson 
 is known for creating the Delbert Anderson Trio (DAT) and being a developer
  of music educational programs and community projects.\nDelbert discovered 
 his passion for jazz and improvisation in his early years of education. And
 erson went on to attend Eastern New Mexico University studying music educat
 ion and trumpet performance. Anderson credits his educators:  Janet Isham, 
 John Kennedy, Christopher Beaty and Dustin Seifert – for his success in the
  music field. Anderson now resides in Farmington, NM where he’s active as a
  performer, composer and educator.\n“Anderson’s music puts Navajo culture t
 hrough melodies inspired by ancient songs of love and war while fusing them
  with modern jazz and funk.”\n– NPR Earthsongs\nAnderson regularly performs
  with his new collaborative group DDAT, which is the Delbert Anderson Trio
