SUMMARY:"The Five Levels of Attachment,” with Joe Neri at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City
LOCATION:3845 N Swan Street
DESCRIPTION:How attached are you to your beliefs? Beliefs about morality, religion, the
universe, politics and more. To what extent do your attachments direct and
control your life, determine with whom you interact, and are responsible f
or your self-image and your ultimate happiness? \nUUFSC member, Joe Neri, w
ill discuss “The Five Levels of Attachment: Toltec Wisdom for the Modern Wo
rld” by Don Miguel Ruiz, Jr., son of Don Miguel Ruiz, author of “The Four A
greements.” \n“We have all unwittingly made agreements about how we think w
e should live our lives and what we believe our personal truths are. But wh
at most of us do not realize is that these agreements represent attachments
that impose a limiting filter on who we think we are, and what our future
could hold,” Neri said.\nJoe Neri has been a resident of Silver City and a
member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City since 2018.
He chairs the Fellowship’s social justice committee. Among other things, he
is a student of “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz, as well as “The
Five Levels of Attachment” by Don Miguel Ruiz, Jr.\nThere are speakers on t
he patio if you wish to enjoy the service outside. \nThis Sunday there will
be a Children’s Religious Education program. Parents are invited to bring
children four years old and above to attend youth-led classes. Ninth grader
Ivy Stephens-Etheridge, a former CRE student, will read a story and lead a
lesson on the theme of “Art” this Sunday.\nUUFSC Safety Protocol as pursua
nt to our most recent UUA Guidelines:\nWe will not be serving food or drink
s in the building until further notice. Masks will still need to be worn at
all times indoors and out, except when eating or drinking. We will continu
e to serve refreshments on the patio, weather permitting. Visitors are alwa
 ys welcome.\n\n
