DESCRIPTION:Join local artist Zoe Wolfe on a journey of her work which she says celebra
 tes our essential being. She will tell stories and share images of her art.
 \n Poetic spirit describes the stories behind Wolfe’s sculptures. Working p
 redominantly in clay, her art is provocative, and uniquely crafted, ranging
  in scale from intimate to installation.\nWolfe received her MFA from the U
 niversity of Hawaii, and her BAs from San Francisco State University. While
  employed as an arts educator she has called many places home including Kat
 hmandu, New York, and Israel. She came to Silver City in 1994 and continued
  her teaching career with students ranging in age from kindergarten to coll
 ege. Currently she is a full-time artist.\nWolfe’s art has been widely exhi
 bited. “I’m honored to have public art in our state, including the new wing
  at Western New Mexico’s University library,” she said.\nWolfe is involved 
 in bringing art further into the community; her involvement includes workin
 g with The Clay festival, the Empty Bowls Fundraiser, the Youth Mural Progr
 am, and the Gila River Festival. \nA historic downtown Silver City warehous
 e is home to Wolfe’s studio, showroom, and sculpture garden.   \nThere are 
 speakers on the patio if you wish to enjoy the service outside.\nThis Sunda
 y there will be a Children’s Religious Education program. Parents are invit
 ed to bring children four years old and up to attend youth-led classes. Thi
 s Sunday’s lesson will be on the UU’s 2nd Principle: Justice, equity, and c
 ompassion in human relations.\nUUFSC Safety Protocol as pursuant to our mos
 t recent UUA Guidelines:\nWe will not be serving food or drinks in the buil
 ding until further notice. Masks will still need to be worn at all times in
 doors and out except when eating or drinking. We will continue to serve ref
 reshments on the patio, weather permitting. Visitors are always welcome.\n
