  Collection, including lithograph prints, pen and ink drawings, and pencil 
 drawings. The show will encompass a small sampling of incredible works of a
 rt by local, national, and international artists, spanning several decades.
  Western New Mexico University’s (WNMU) permanent art collection is compris
 ed of sculptures, photographs, paintings, prints, textiles, and ceramics do
 nated by private collectors, artists, and students. Stewardship of the coll
 ection began 60 years ago for the purpose of committing to the study of the
  visual arts and preserving the rich historical heritage of the local artis
 t community, as well as prominent works by national and international artis
 ts. Gathered from donation, acquisition, and commission, the University con
 tinues to expand its collection to encourage an understanding and appreciat
 ion of art that benefits both the WNMU and Silver City communities.\nOpenin
