To our Suppliers and Carriers,

As we continue to manage the coronavirus pandemic, please know our thoughts and prayers remain with your employees, families and friends. It will take everyone working together to minimize the impact of this pandemic on society. We are especially grateful to everyone on the front lines helping those in need.

Freeport-McMoRan is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which has held a series of calls relating to the economic impact of COVID-19 and U.S. government relief efforts through the Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve. The April 1 call focused on help for small businesses. I encourage you to take a moment and visit uschamber.com to learn about support options that may be relevant for your organization. Our principal focus remains the health, safety and well-being of our global workforce, their families and the communities where we operate. We continue to closely monitor developments and have implemented an additional action to help further reduce community spread of COVID-19.

Starting the week of April 6, vendors and contractors visiting our North America operations will go through a temperature screening process to help detect individuals who may be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. This process will require visitors to answer questions and have their temperature taken before being allowed on site. Contractors performing work at the operations and carriers delivering to our operations will receive more information and specific instructions from the site.

Remember – Personal Protection Equipment is important and required while on our property. We will make limited PPE (hardhat, glasses and vests) available to those coming on property but strongly recommend visitors bring their own PPE. While our loaned PPE will be sanitized, the safest option is for someone to use their own.

As additional guidance and regulations are issued with regard to COVID-19, we will make appropriate adjustments to ensure the safety of our customers and partners. We are committed to maintaining ongoing and transparent communication with our employees, stakeholders and communities. If you have any questions or concerns:

· Contractors / Suppliers – contact your site GSC representative or Category Manager
· Carriers – contact Corporate Transportation

We are confident our organizations can overcome the current challenges and remain positive about the long-term future of our businesses.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Barber
