Albuquerque – Presumptive Democratic Nominee for President Joe Biden has outlined an energy plan that would be devastating for New Mexico. Power The Future is launching a petition to demand an answer because the people of our state deserve to know why Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is silent about it.

Just a few months ago, Joe Biden reveled part of his energy plan would be to end oil and gas drilling when he told a nationwide audience:

"No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends, number one."

Biden's plan would kill thousands of jobs and cost New Mexico billions in lost revenue. However, when asked to respond on Biden's disastrous energy proposal, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham refused to comment.

Power The Future has launched a petition to demand Governor Lujan Grisham respond to Biden's controversial energy plan for our state, instead of auditioning for a higher political job.

"When it comes to the backbone of our economy, New Mexicans deserve better than silence," said Larry Behrens Western States Director for Power The Future. "New Mexico's families need answers and Governor Lujan Grisham shouldn't be allowed to hide just because it's politically convenient."
