Dear wise councilpersons:

It seems you forgot to include instructions on how to sue the city and every councilperson who approves this mandate, in the event that within the next three years it becomes medically known that the mandate was poor medical practice, especially for the breathing-impaired; double penalties for coercing this group.

I have had breathing difficulties dating back to the accident that took my husband's life, and very nearly mine, as well. Under difficult conditions, my trachea closes and no air comes in or out from my lungs. And the "trigger" is sudden and unpredictable, with not a single second's warning.

Emergency room medics and other personnel admitted the books didn't teach of such a problem. But anyone who observed the aftermath of such a closure fully concluded that they had no preventative, no rescue, and that it could be lethal. The next few minutes were an agony before raspy, desperate breathing resumed. Five to ten minutes later, it usually became normal, but I was greatly weakened for the next hour.

If the medical community has no clue how to help this, or perhaps other breathing issues that may occur from restricted breathing, I can't imagine that you would take on such a critical stand with the life of another human. Do you insure yourselves well for such a responsibility, for you are presumptuous on this issue. Try putting your own life on the line! What is your life worth?
