To the Editor,

I have known Rebecca Dow for almost two decades. I attended Manzano Christian School, which is connected to Apple Tree Child Development Center. I was able to spend countless nights sleeping over at Rebecca's house because her daughter and I were the same age and were and continue to be close friends.

Throughout my middle and high school life and early college I was able to witness Rebecca's love for the community through her pursuit to create opportunities for people in and outside of the community. I have seen her write countless grants, travel back and forth to Santa Fe to advocate for youth, children, and her community while also being a wife and mother. Rebecca has advocated for youth and children since I have known her. I have been one of those children who she has helped write college applications and scholarships. Without her, I may have not received the scholarships I needed to get through my undergraduate degree.

Throughout my time at Manzano Christian School, I saw Rebecca continue to advocate for Appletree, not as a business that benefited her, but as charity that benefited families and children in our community. Rebecca is the most honest, hardworking women I have ever known. She is diligent in keeping her promise and consistent in fighting for those who may not have a voice to fight for themselves. I am grateful to know her and learn from her leadership.
