Albuquerque, December 10--The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce regarding today's unveiling of two articles of impeachment:

“Simply put, this action today by the Democrats is a coup, an attempt to overthrow the president. It’s baseless, and again the Democrats are spending their time trying to oust the president instead of focusing on real issues. They just can’t stand the fact that our country is doing well, and they have to continue with these tactics. This will not go anywhere in the Senate, and will backfire on the Democrats in 2020, you watch and see.”
