TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES – New Mexico's Public Education Department (PED), under the leadership of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, yesterday released its proposed rule to implement new K-12 Social Studies Standards that is loaded with Critical Race Theory.

Rebecca Dow, a member of the Legislative Education Study Committee and a candidate for Governor gave the following statement:

"Lujan Grisham and her marxist allies seem to be hyper-focused on telling New Mexicans that they are raising racist children and that the government needs to intervene through secretive critical race theory re-education. It is clear that this Governor has put politics above the needs of our students. When will New Mexicans hold these bad actors accountable for a total lack of testing data during Lujan Grisham's term? We have extremely high teacher vacancy rates, absolutely no testing data, and the majority of students are at least a year behind! This is all information Lujan Grisham's staff is providing, yet she is focused on telling New Mexico parents that they are racist and she will re-educate our students. New Mexicans are smarter than what she and her staff believe, and change is coming! MLG has promised a "moon shot" of education reform...We are going to moon-shot over her miserable failures when I am Governor."
