70% of Americans Disapprove of President Biden's Handling of Gas Prices

Washington, D.C. – In an effort to deflect from their own failures, leaders in Congress are working overtime to escape responsibility for the surrender of American energy independence. Instead of working to get American energy workers back on the job, leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee will hold a hearing to place blame on American oil companies.

"The same liberal politicians whose policies cost us energy independence are getting desperate and turning to cheap political stunts," said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. "The American people know the solution to massive prices is more domestic energy production, not feigned outrage from politicians who are worried about polls more than solutions. If they are truly concerned with soaring gas prices, the left would cease with the sheer insanity, stop the sham hearings and work with the private sector to produce more supply instead of their ceaseless demonization."

The hearings are nothing more than a response to recents polls which place the blame for rising gas prices on President Biden's failed energy policies. Just last week, one poll found 70 percent disapprove of the President's handling of gas prices while another poll found 69 percent of Americans say we should produce American oil over implementing Biden's climate agenda.
