Power The Future Launches New Ad and ProtectAmericanEnergy.com

Washington, D.C. – In an effort to shine a light on President Biden's back door energy bureaucracy, Power The Future (PTF) today launched a full-scale public affairs campaign against the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Initial components of the campaign include:

  1. A video ad: Stand with Sen. Manchin for American Energy
  2. A new micro site: ProtectAmericanEnergy.com.
  3. A petition allowing Americans to show their support for West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV)

Charged with regulating the transmission and wholesale sale of electricity and natural gas, FERC has been weaponized by the Biden Administration to stop energy projects and fulfill the green agenda that has been stymied by fellow Democrats in Congress. This year alone, FERC – a supposedly-independent agency - has used its power to deny a natural gas project in New England and circumvented Congress to impose rules that would make approval of natural gas projects much more difficult, action that earned FERC a rare rebuke from 10 Senators.

PTF's new ad highlights Senator Manchin's strong stance fighting back against the Biden Administration's back door tactics. At a hearing before the Senate Energy Committee last month, Manchin took FERC Chairman Richard Glick to task, stating, "We can't take this seriously enough. So, to deny or put-up barrier to natural gas projects and the benefits they provide, while Putin is actively and effectively using energy as an economic and political weapon against our allies is just beyond the pale."

"FERC is the next Fauci: an agency that few have heard of until they impose their will on an unwilling electorate," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director of Power The Future. "With the power and willingness to block energy projects, FERC's actions are a main driver of the record high energy prices Americans are suffering today. President Biden's environmental agenda is so out of touch that it has been rejected by his own party, forcing him to rely on FERC while he hopes we're not watching. Power The Future stands with Senator Manchin as he stands up against the overreach of this unaccountable agency."

Power The Future is a 501c4 non-profit dedicated to fighting for American energy workers.
