West Virginia Democrat notes FERC "doesn't want to be" done yet

Washington, D.C. – During an interview with Power The Future Alaska State Director Rick Whitbeck, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) addressed the latest green move by the Federal Energy Regulation Committee (FERC.) Manchin recently called FERC to testify before Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources after finding they went too far in prioritizing a political agenda instead of protecting American energy.

In the interview for Whitbeck's weekly "Energy Hour" radio show, Senator Manchin said the following, "What FERC did was a total overreach and I pulled them back into the committee and let them know it. They reversed it to a certain extent…I'm watching it very carefully."

Senator Manchin also noted how FERC likely isn't done yet with pushing a political agenda before American energy. Manchin's full comments from the interview can be found here.

"We're grateful to Senator Manchin for standing up to unelected bureaucrats who are trying to force the Green New Deal behind closed doors," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director of Power The Future. "This so-called independent agency is just the latest example of President Biden pushing a radical green agenda through the back door since he knows it wouldn't pass through Congress. FERC is just like the Dr. Fauci of energy and their overreach should be stopped at every turn.

Last week, Power The Future launched ProtectAmericanEnergy.com to highlight how the unelected bureaucrats of FERC are key to stopping American energy production.
