Washington, D.C. – In the latest development delivered by the Biden Energy Crisis, Americans are now paying a record price for the cost of diesel fuel. The newest record cost for fuel will likely impact struggling families as they continue to grapple with the worst inflation since 1981. The latest dubious distinction comes just two months after President Biden told Americans "my top priority is getting gas prices under control."

"President Biden spent the weekend getting a few laughs at the expense of skyrocketing costs, but it's no joke to our families," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. "President Biden and his unelected bureaucrats are cutting American oil and gas production at every opportunity and delivering the worst results we've seen in over a generation. How many more terrible records does this administration have to achieve before they wake up to their man-made energy crisis?"

Since President Biden said lowering gas prices was his "top priority," his administration has continued their war against American energy production. Just last week, Biden's Bureau of Land Management cut off millions of acres in Alaska from potential development. The move is consistent with what Jennifer Psaki said just a few weeks ago telling reporters Biden's policy is to "ban additional leasing."
