Governor's Job Approval Poll Manifests Weak Leadership

A new statewide survey shows how angry voters are at Gov. Lujan Grisham's performance as our Chief Executive. A poll released this past week show 45% of those surveyed disapprove of the way she is leading the state. Just 46%--less than 50%--approve. The poll was conducted by Public Policy Polling for NM Political Report. In particular, The Governor polled poorly among independent voters with 33% who approve and 54% who disapprove.

It's no surprise.

Gov. Lujan Grisham has been a weak leader, who has exceeded her authority, taken away our freedoms and hurled us into economic chaos. Her Cabinet members are abandoning her or have failed to make the grade. We have the worst education system, the worst unemployment…the list goes on.

It's time we get strong leadership, fiscal responsibility and restore traditional New Mexico values back to our great state.

EXPECTED REVENUE IN NEW MEXICO SKYROCKETS BY $1 BILLION

It appears New Mexico is looking at a record-setting year for revenue. New Mexico is projected to have $1.4 billion more in its budget than it did last year. Democrats are taking a victory lap, talking about consumer spending and GRT revenues, but the truth is oil and gas profits have been booming. The revenue increases are also happening because of the federal handouts due to the pandemic. Federal dollars have been pouring in. It's the vital oil and natural gas industry that's provided New Mexico with the economic jolt. This, as the Biden Administration and progressive state democrats continue to seek policies to damage this critical industry for New Mexico. Oil and gas provides more than 40% of New Mexico's state revenues.

Here's the story from KOB-TV:

MURDER SUSPECT ESCAPES AFTER REMOVING HIS GPS ANKLE BRACELET

It took Bernalillo County's pre-trial services more than 24 hours to notify Albuquerque Police that a murder suspect cut off his GPS monitor and failed to show up at his halfway house. This is becoming a real problem in the courts—the judicial system is putting too much faith in these ankle bracelets, and authorities are not tracking them 24-7. Police received no notification from the courts that a dangerous criminal was on the loose. Our judicial system must crack down on criminals and stop pampering them.

GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM MANDATES PROOF OF VACCINATIONS AT STATE FAIR

Here's another mandate from Gov. Lujan Grisham: anyone who attends the New Mexico State Fair will have to be vaccinated and show proof of the vaccinations. The Fair starts September 9. This has caused a great problem for many people like 4-H participants who want to present during the annual event. Many of these participants do not have time to get both shots or choose not to. This is another example of the Governor controlling our lives.
