Albuquerque, June 27—The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico CD 1 Vice Chair Leticia Munoz on today's Executive Order signed by the Governor regarding abortion protections in New Mexico:

"Today's Executive Order is once again political theater staged by our governor. With large Democratic majorities in the New Mexico House and Senate, she could call a special session of the legislature to legally craft new laws. Lujan Grisham is just beating the drum again in a rallying cry. The recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling doesn't affect New Mexico, and our state continues to be the late-term abortion capital of the country—up to and including the day of birth. Not only are these abortions abhorrent, but New Mexico taxpayers will foot the bill for girls and women who will come from out of state to take advantage of New Mexico's radical and immoral laws."
