Mimbres Culture Heritage Site Tour

Sponsored by the Imogen F Wilson Education Foundation 501(c)3, this tour wanders through an ancient Mimbreno village site which is now protected for all time. The Mimbreno culture lasted from 200 AD – 1130 AD. The world renowned black on white pottery was produced in villages along the Mimbres River. The site is located at 12 Sage Drive, one block off highway 35 between mile markers 7 and 8. A donations of $3 per person is suggested which includes entry into the museum. The tour lasts about one hour and is easy walking but be prepared for any kind of weather. There is an ADA restroom on site and a gift shop. Hours 11 am to 3 pm Saturday and Sunday only.
