Southwest Women’s Fiber Arts Collective’s Holiday Fiber Arts Sale

Download as iCal file

Sunday, October 09, 2022, 10:00am - 04:00pm

The annual Holiday Fiber Arts Sale has a new date and location!  This free annual event sponsored by Southwest Women’s Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) will now be held Saturday and Sunday, October 8 from 11 am to 7 pm and October 9 from 10 am to 4 pm in the ballroom of the Murray Hotel in Downtown Silver City.

The new date and location was in response to members voting to join the Silver City Art Association and the Weekend at the Galleries event. “It is a win-win for us. We can support the Weekend at the Galleries by offering another show downtown and we get to build upon a successful event”, states Ali Rudolf, board secretary of SWFAC.

The work of more than 20 fiber artists showing this year will include quilts, socks, sweaters, hats, gloves, totes, rugs, scarves, purses, wall hangings, greeting cards, toys, tableware, wood crafted fiber tools, among a multitude of other handcrafted fiber items. The wide range of fiber mediums encompassed in this sale are knitting, weaving, felting, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, painting, dying, and sewing.

This wonderful opportunity to shop for a unique holiday gift will also support local fiber artists.  Beverages and baked goods will be available for sale in the lobby with plenty of room to sit and relax.

Location 200 W. Broadway
Silver City NM
