DESCRIPTION:The Silver City Friends of the Library (FOL) is so very pleased to announce
that, weather permitting, it will hold a Book Sale on Saturday, October 10
, from 10:00am-3:00pm, in the parking lot at 1510 Market Street, in the Tow
n of Silver City’s maintenance yard on Market across from Cheyenne Street.
\nIn accordance with Covid-19 health regulations, the FOL Bookstore will no
t be open, but 25-plus tables will be setup outside to hold and present the
hundreds of books--including children’s books--and other reading media tha
t have been donated and processed since the January sale.\nNew Mexico’s Cov
id-19 regulations will be followed for mask wearing and social distancing.
To maintain social distancing, there may be times when a maximum number of
people may be at the tables, and others may have to wait a short time to en
ter the sale. Also, customer parking is available street-side only because
of space issues in the parking lot. FOL volunteers will be available to as
sist visitors in carrying their purchases to their cars.\nBook sale visitor
s will be provided with bags that they can fill for $2.00 per bag. There i
s no limit on the number of bags that may be purchased. \nThe Friends of t
he Library accepts donations of books from the public and uses these to rai
