The sixth annual HOLIDAY FIBER ARTS SALE sponsored by Southwest  Women’s Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) will look a little different this year. It will be held on four weekends in October instead of the traditional Thanksgiving weekend. Each week will feature high quality handmade items from a diverse  group of talented local artisans.

This event is free to attend and will be held on October 9 from 11:00 AM to 4:00  PM and on October 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 602 N. Bullard (the corner of Bullard and Sixth Street).

Featured during the Weekend of the Galleries, October 9 and 10 will be: Blythe Whiteley with her painted silk, cotton and rayon clothing, painted silk scarves and  felted items; Vicki Gadberry will have her fiber art cards and hand dyed bamboo  socks and silk scarves; Carol Mills with be there with handwoven rugs; Mary Ragins will have handwoven scarves, tableware, totes and zipper pouches and  will also be demonstrating weaving techniques on her table loom; and Pat  Bouchard will be there with knitted garments and accessories as well as  embroidered hats and purses.

This is a wonderful opportunity to find a unique holiday gift while supporting local fiber artists. Give your friends and family (or even yourself!) a beautiful, one of a kind, hand crafted gift this year. Each weekend in October the Holiday Fiber Arts  Sale will offer a vast assortment of fiber art to satisfy every budget and appeal to your individual style.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required by everyone and social distancing will be practiced.
