The sixth annual HOLIDAY FIBER ARTS SALE sponsored by Southwest  Women’s Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) will look a little different this year. It will be held on four weekends in October instead of the traditional Thanksgiving weekend. Each week will feature high quality handmade items from a diverse  group of talented local artisans.  

This event is free to attend and will be held on October 17, 24, and 31 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 602 N. Bullard (the corner of Bullard and Sixth Street). 

Featured at the next sale on October 17: Lynn Welsch will be there with her small framed fiber art landscapes, art quilt wall hangings, credit card cases, coin purses, fabric covered purse size notebooks, bitty baskets, humbug bags, lavender sachets and fiber art cards; Kathy Cole will have quilted placemats, table runners and small art quilts; Blythe Whiteley will have her painted silk, cotton and rayon clothing, silk scarves and felted items; Carol Mills with handwoven rugs; Donnie Endicott will have hand knitted fingerless gloves, hats scarves and socks, upcycled and original bags, eclectic belts, boxes and jewelry, hat/mask sets and unique masks and Vicki Sanow will have hand knitted hats, vests, wraps, shawls, cowls, and scarves along with unusual, colorful yarns.

This is a wonderful opportunity to find a unique holiday gift while supporting local fiber artists. Give your friends and family (or even yourself!) a beautiful, one of a kind, hand crafted gift this year. Each weekend in October the Holiday Fiber Arts  Sale will offer a vast assortment of fiber art to satisfy every budget and appeal to your individual style.  

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required by everyone and social distancing will be practiced.  

SWFAC was founded in 2005 and is a local, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3)  organization who’s goal is to stimulate and support successful cottage industry in  the southwest. To accomplish this, SWFAC members nurture and empower one  another. Both novice and skilled SWFAC artists enrich the community by  fostering opportunities to gain new experience and expand talent as well as earn  income from their art.
